Terms of Service

Effective date: 13 October 2026

These terms apply to the Virtuous website. Virtuous is a non-commercial World of Warcraft gaming guild run by volunteers. By using the website you agree to these terms.

1. Purpose of the website

The website presents the guild, its raid teams, schedules, rosters, progression, recruitment, gallery and streams, and gives members and leadership tools to organise raiding. There is no charge for using it and nothing is sold through it.

2. Accounts and Discord sign-in

Browsing the public pages does not require an account. Member accounts are optional. You can sign in with Discord or, where an account has one, with an email address and password. When you sign in with Discord, Discord confirms your identity and the website stores your permanent Discord User ID to recognise you again. You are responsible for keeping your Discord account and any password secure.

New accounts start without team access, leadership roles or permissions. Access is granted only by guild leadership.

3. Character linking and leadership approval

You can request to link your account to an existing character on a team roster. Team leadership decides whether to approve or reject the request. A character can be linked to only one account. Leadership may remove a link at any time; removing a link does not delete the character or its history.

4. Member responsibilities and conduct

  • Treat other members, applicants and visitors with respect.
  • Only request links to characters that are yours.
  • Do not try to access information or functions you have not been given access to.
  • Do not misuse, disrupt or attempt to break the website.
  • Follow the guild's rules on Discord and in game, as well as Blizzard Entertainment's own terms.

5. Roster, attendance and progression information

Rosters, attendance, schedules and progression are kept by guild leadership as a best effort. They may contain mistakes or be out of date and should not be relied on for anything beyond guild organisation. If something about you is wrong, ask your team leadership to correct it.

6. Moderation

Guild leadership may edit or remove content, decline or remove character links, change permissions, and disable or remove accounts where needed to keep the guild and the website running well.

7. Availability and changes

The website is provided as is, by volunteers. Features may change, be paused or be removed, and the website may sometimes be unavailable. These terms may be updated; the effective date above shows the latest version.

8. External services

The website links to or uses services run by others, including Discord (sign-in and community), Twitch (streams) and Blizzard Entertainment (World of Warcraft). Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and Virtuous is not responsible for them.

9. Intellectual property and disclaimer

World of Warcraft, Warcraft, the Alliance and Horde emblems and related names and artwork are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Virtuous is an independent fan community and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment. Screenshots and other content shared by members remain theirs; by submitting them you allow Virtuous to show them on the website.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to guild leadership on our Discord. See also our Privacy Policy.
