Team Yellow Loot Policy

Simple. Relaxed. Straightforward.

Team Yellow uses the standard Group Loot system. Loot is handled through Blizzard's built-in Need / Transmog / Pass roll, keeping raid nights simple and the atmosphere relaxed while still giving upgrades a fair path to the raiders who need them most.

How Team Yellow handles loot

Blizzard Group Loot

All items drop through Blizzard's built-in Group Loot roll. No addons required, no drama, no waiting around after each pull.

Fair & friendly

Team Yellow keeps loot simple to protect the atmosphere. Every raider has an equal chance at upgrades that match their spec.

Trade if you can

If an item drops for you that isn't an upgrade, trade it to a raider who can use it before the trade window closes.

Team first, always

When in doubt, favor the raider who benefits the team most. Ninja rolls and drama get you removed from the team.

Roll Priority

How to roll on items

1

Main Spec (Need)

Roll Need on items that are a real upgrade for your current main spec. This is the highest priority roll in the raid.

2

Off Spec

If nobody Needs, off-spec rollers may Need for a spec they actively play. Ask in raid chat before you roll if it's unclear.

3

Transmog

Roll Transmog only when nobody needs the item for gear. Never Transmog against a Need roll.

4

Pass

Pass when the item isn't an upgrade and you don't want the appearance. Let it go to someone who benefits.

Ground Rules

What we expect at the roll

  • Only Need for your current active main spec. Alt specs count as off spec.
  • Tier tokens follow the same rules — Need if it's an upgrade for your main spec.
  • Trinkets and weapons: only Need if you will actually equip them.
  • If an item is a duplicate for you, pass so someone else can benefit.
  • Traded items follow the same priority: main spec first, then off spec, then transmog.
  • Mounts and cosmetic drops roll Need for everyone unless a raider explicitly reserves it beforehand.
Special Cases

Extra loot categories

Bind on Equip items

BoEs that drop are the roller's to keep or share. Consider trading real upgrades to raiders who need them; anything you can't use is yours to keep or hand to the Guild Bank.

Rare mounts

Rare raid mounts drop into personal loot or roll for everyone in the raid — whichever Blizzard uses for that encounter. No side-reserves.

Legendary items

Legendary drops are discussed with the raid leader on the spot. Priority goes to active mains who will use the item most.

Guests & pugs

Guest players roll under the same rules as core raiders. Be respectful, roll fair, and trade when it makes sense.

Simple · Friendly · Fair · Fun

Team Yellow keeps loot low-drama on purpose. Roll fairly, trade when you can, and remember every drop is meant to make the team stronger together.
